Florida Georgia Line walked away with their first CMA Awards trophies at the CMA Awards. They took home Duo of the Year and Single of the Year for "Cruise," the song that catapulted their career. Tomorrow night, 12-10, they'll have 7 nominations for the American Country Awards. It seems Tyler and Brian get big news about awards shows a lot lately!
Carrie Underwood in The Sound of Music Live! Could Become a Staple of NBC's Holiday Programming
If you missed The Sound of Music Live! last Thursday night on NBC you'll have at least one more chance to see it when the network re-airs it a second time before Christmas. Though NBC won't comment on the cost, it would only make sense that they would want to get as much mileage out of the special to make it worth that price tag. The network indicated that The Sound of Music Live! could become a regular part of NBC's annual holiday programming now that it's considered a ratings success after 18.5 million viewers watched the show giving NBC the top show of the night. A DVD version of the production is said to be in the works as well.

Darius Rucker has joined other celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Robin Williams and Sofia Vergara to support the 10th annual St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign. The campaign asks consumers to donate while they shop this holiday season at participating retailers and to join St. Jude in finding cures and saving children's lives. Darius Rucker has filmed an online commercial for the campaign, which began running Thanksgiving week and will continue through the end of the year. Dierks Bentley is set to perform at the NASCAR Sprint Series Cup Awards Friday, December 6th at the Wynn Las Vegas. It airs on Fox Sports 2 and NASCAR.com at 8 p.m. CT TONIGHT. "CMA Country Christmas," a two-hour special hosted by Jennifer Nettles will air TONIGHT starting at 8pm on KSPR. The special is a celebration of the season featuring Country's top stars and others performing holiday songs and sharing their personal holiday traditions and memories. George Strait is auctioning off some the best seats in the house for his 2014 Cowboy Rides Away Tour. After the success of the 2013 auctions, Strait is once again is giving big fans a chance at front row seats, as well as meet and greet passes to each 2014 tour stop, all in the name of charity. Front row seats to see him have raised over $450,000 so far. The proceeds are benefiting the Jenifer Strait Foundation. George and his family formed this foundation in memory of his daughter Jenifer, who was killed in a car accident in 1986 at the age of 13.
