Carrie Underwood spent an hour-and-a-half with the students of the PS22 Chorus in Staten Island, NY last Thursday to work up a rendition of "Good Girl".
Afterwards, Carrie said: "My experience at PS22 has been absolutely amazing. It just made my heart happy to be here ... I think myself and everyone else in the music industry right now need to be worried because they're getting older and [they're] going to put us all out of a job."
Carrie Underwood was featured on ABC's "Nightline".
When the hypothetical question of her husband Mike Fisher cheating on her came up, she replied: "With Mike, it never crosses my mind. I know he loves me, and I know he loves God. And he wouldn't do that to either one of us."
Another question: When is the right time to start a family?
She replies; "To be honest, one day I'm absolutely fine and happy and, you know, start legitimately thinking about the idea of having kids, and the other day, I'm like ‘oh gosh, no, no, what?' I can barely keep my own schedule straight."
Carrie's new album, "Blown Away," drops on May 1 and it features a love song, "Forever Changed." She said it's about a woman who is married with children and is coming to the end of her life. She said one of the writers wrote the song about his mother who was suffering from Alzheimer's, but Carrie said it reminds her of her grandmother's death.
With tears welling up, she explains: "I get emotional even talking about this song to be honest. It's just beautiful. It just becomes very real… and I remember my grandmother at the end of her life, looking at my dad and thinking that that was my grandfather."
"I can never sing this song, like on stage in front of people. I could barely get through it in the studio."
Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw hit the road together for the first time since the early 2000s. The only difference in show will be that Tim will now open for Kenny.
Kenny says it will be a more fun and exciting tour so look for him in a T-shirt with a baseball cap. “It’s not necessarily going to be the kind of show where you would come and buy something to eat and drink and sit down and enjoy the evening,” Kenny promises. “Like always, we try to make it as energetic and as fun couple of hours as possible, and this year’s not going to change.” Kenny tells Billboard.
Chesney is preparing for this tour just as he does for any other stadium run. “My whole life has changed since the last time I toured with Tim,” Chesney admits. “I think when we do our first show in Tampa this year, it will be my 70th stadium show, so that’s all happened since then. I won’t want to approach this summer any differently than I approached the last 10 tours that we’ve done. The work ethic’s still the same. The idea of trying to give everybody their money’s worth and having it be an unbelievable night of music and a moment of their summer that’s going to stand out – that’s what our job is … so the idea of preparing for this is no different than any other.” The Brothers of the Sun Tour 2012 kicks off in Tampa, Fla. on June 2 and runs for 19 days.
It will also feature Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, who will sing ‘You & Tequila’ with Kenny, and Jake Owen.

George Jones posted a video message on his website Wednesday, thanking fans as he recovers from an upper respiratory infection. He then accused his daughter Georgette Lennon of spreading lies about him on the Internet.
He was hospitalized for nearly a week last month and had to postpone shows.
The 80-year-old country star says in the video: "I would like to apologize for my daughter Georgette and her new husband for putting so much bad things about me on the Internet and Facebook.
"None of these things are true. They are all about money. I have gave and gave until I can no longer give. I will never let her go hungry, but I am tired of putting out, and I am not the person they claim I am."
Lennon said she is "completely devastated" by his message and denies making any negative statements about him. Lennon's mother was country singer Tammy Wynette, who died in 1998.
She told the AP: "All I've ever wanted is to have a relationship with my dad and for him to know how much I love him and for him to love me and want to be a part of my life. I had hoped that we could resolve this between the two of us privately and at some point he would talk to me. Unfortunately, things have escalated even further."
Lennon said their relationship became strained a couple years ago when she became friends with her two brothers from Jones' second marriage. She said Jones had a falling out with his two sons about 20 years ago, and does not communicate with them.
She said her relationship with her father reached a breaking point last year when she was planning her Oct. 29 wedding. Her brothers were OK with not attending if it meant Jones would be there to give her away, but Lennon said she never got an answer from Jones until she saw on his website he had booked a gig on the same day. Her 18-year-old twin sons walked her down the aisle.

After Justin Bieber took ‘The Voice' stage on Tuesday night to preview his new video, Blake seemed very impressed with the young talent, even comparing him to the King of Rock ‘n' Roll— Elvis Presley.
Blake told Hollywood Life: "You would have to be living under a damn rock not to know who the kid is and the impact that he is having," referring to Bieber. "I never witnessed anything like that, it's got to be similar to what happened with Elvis when he would come walking into a room. People screaming and crying, I literally looked at a group of girls that were in the audience and they were crying!"

Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush say they relied on their tour manager to decide whether or not the show would go on at the tragic Indiana State Fair last summer. Seven people were killed and dozens injured when a stage collapsed.
Nettles answered questions for more than four hours last Thursday in West Virginia and Bush's deposition began Friday morning. Sugarland's spokesman Allan Mayer says Nettles and Bush "never told anyone not to delay the concert because of the weather." He says the two are eager to "get to the bottom" of the tragedy.
A report issued last week by an engineering firm says the stage rigging was not built to code and began to give way when winds gusted at 33 miles per hour. Industry safety standards would require that it be able to withstand wind gusts of 68 miles per hour.
An attorney says Sugarland's version of what happened before last summer's deadly stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair is inconsistent with other witnesses' account. Source
The July 12 Garth Brooks Scotiabank Saddledome show at the Calgary Stampede sold out all 15,322 tickets in just 58 seconds Saturday – a record for the 100-year-old event. Buyers were limited to six tickets at $62 (including service charges).

Dave Haywood – the last single member of Lady Antebellum – tied the knot Saturday night with Kelli Cashiola on a private farm outside of Nashville.
Family, friends and Haywood's bandmates, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott, gathered around the couple at Front Porch Farms in Ashland City.
Singer/songwriter Dave Barnes provided the music for the intimate outdoor ceremony, which was followed by dinner and dancing. Guests were shuttled into the secret location.
The couple have been friends for nearly six years, and on Dec. 19, he surprised her with an early Christmas present when he spelled out "Will you marry me?" on the side of her house in Christmas lights. As he put the engagement ring on her finger, Cashiola said "Yes!"
The 30-year-old bride is an executive with Warner Bros. Records in Nashville. She wore a lacy white dress with a sash tied at the small of her back and a white flower in her hair. The groom wore a suit and tie.

Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush were in Charleston, W. Va., yesterday to begin two days of video depositions about the stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair that killed seven people and injured several others. Earlier in the day, the Indiana State Fair Commission received reports from two companies hired to investigate why the stage rigging and scaffolding collapsed when high winds hit the Indianapolis area before the duo went onstage at the outdoor concert on Aug. 13, 2011.
The reports from Thornton Tomasetti (an engineering firm) and Witt Associates (emergency planning advisers) concluded the stage structure did not meet industry standards and a fully-developed emergency plan was not in place.
In a written statement provided to media in Charleston, Nettles and Bush said, "In all the back-and-forth between the lawyers, the suggestion's been made that we've somehow been trying to avoid having to answer questions about last summer's terrible tragedy. This is simply not true."
They are scheduled to continue providing the depositions before performing today in Pikeville, Ky.

Season 10 "American Idol" Scotty McCreery's success won't stop him from furthering his education. Next fall, the 18-year-old superstar will attend North Carolina State University in Raleigh.
Scotty was accepted to all four of the schools (East Carolina, Belmont University and Tennessee State being the others) he applied to, and while he's reportedly considering transferring in two years to someplace in Nashville, he might have some sentimental attachment to NCSU. After all, it's his dad's alma mater.
